CodeRED Alerts
The City of Whitewright utilizes an automated telephone notification system called CodeRED. Citizens can sign up to receive weather alerts and other emergency notifications such as water service interruptions, missing children/elderly, traffic issues, etc, directly on their telephones.
Once you create an account, you can select alert types. Emergency notifications are set as a default, but you can also select "General Notifications" to receive non-emergency information, such as notices for city council meetings, board meetings, and other community events. You can also sign up for optional severe weather warnings. Just add your phone number or email and you'll receive notifications in the future.
