Police Officer Position Available
The City of Whitewright, Texas is accepting applications for a full-time TCOLE certified Peace Officer. This position will be responsible for enforcing federal, state and local laws related to the protection of life and property; directing and controlling traffic; promoting crime prevention and community relations; investigating disturbances; and arresting violators.
City paid employee insurance
$15.00 - $16.00/hour based on experience
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver License
Active TCOLE Peace Officer license
Pass a thorough background investigation
Pass a medical exam, psychological exam and drug screening
Criminal record must be limited to:
No arrests in the last 5 years for any offense of a class "A or B" misdemeanor
No felony arrest in the last 10 years
No drug convictions
